Super Bowl XLVI Preview, Prop bets and Prediction!

With less than 24 hours to go until Super Bowl XLVI 46, the NFC Champion New York Giants (9-7 regular season) face the AFC Champion New England Patriots (13-3 regular season). This is a rematch of Super Bowl XLII 42 (2007 season) and a rematch of week nine (November 6, 2011) when the Giants won in New England 24-20. Both teams come into the game red hot: the New York Giants have won five in row including their last two games of the regular season and the New England Patriots haven’t lost since their loss to the Giants in week nine. In Super Bowl XLII 42, the Giants beat the Patriots 17-14, ending the Patriots hopes of undefeated season of 19-0. It was considered one of the biggest upsets in Super Bowl history because the Patriots were 12 point favorites. A lot of fans, especially the “Giants” fans and football experts, have compared this year’s Giants to the 2007 Giants that won Super Bowl XLII 42. I guess you could compare the two teams because the Giants had to win three road games and this year’s team had to win two road games in the playoffs.

Tom Brady will look to tie Hall of Famers, Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw for most Super Bowl wins with four. Montana won all his with the San Francisco 49ers and Bradshaw won all of his with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Also, this is Brady’s fifth Super Bowl appearance and Eli’s second. Eli Manning looks to beat the Patriots again in the Super Bowl and at the same time, he would pass his older brother Peyton Manning for most Super Bowl victories. Peyton, who missed the entrie 2011 season due to a neck injury, has been to two Super Bowls himself but only won one, Super Bowl XLI 41 against the Chicago Bears.

Super Bowl XLII, Sunday, February 5, 2012 kick off 6:29 P.M. Eastern on NBC):

#4 New York Giants (12-7) versus #1 New England Patriots (15-3)

Five Prop Bets:

Since the Giants are the road team what will they call heads or tails? I’ll say tails

Will it land on heads or tails? I’ll say heads

Who will score the first touchdown Giants or Patriots? Patriots

Will the first touchdown be a run or a pass? Pass

Will there be a turnover in the game? Yes

Five keys for the New York Giants:

  1. Keep Tom Brady and the offense off the field
  2. Double team Rob Gronkowski don’t let him get open
  3. Don’t turn the ball over
  4. Pressure Tom Brady and force turnovers
  5. Score touchdowns every chance you get

Five Keys for the New England Patriots:

  1. Protect Tom Brady
  2. Pressure Eli Manning, force turnovers
  3. Score touchdowns in the redzone
  4. Use more of a balanced offense
  5. Stop the Giants receivers

Prediction:

New England 2.5 Favorites

New England Patriots- 24 New York Ginats- 20 (Patriots will cover)

The Patriots are just playing on a high level right now, yeah I know the Giants are too but Tom Brady wants to get some payback from four years ago and the fact he hates losing. From watching him talk, he looks like he is ready to go and will have a great game and at he end of this game there will be a debate on whether Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time! I already think he is the greatest quarterback of all time followed by Joe Montana and than John Elway! Also I can’t choose the Giants, I already choose them once not doing it again. I am rooting for the Patriots!
